Asbestos Inspection:
Most inspections take between 1-2 hours. I will come out to your property, go over some areas of concern, estimate the number of samples to be pulled. Containment may need to be set up while the samples are being pulled to prevent cross contamination. Samples will be pulled, bagged, sealed and shipped to the lab.
Samples:
EPA regulations under the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) specify minimum sample numbers for asbestos testing, depending on material type and area. For friable surfacing materials, collect three samples from areas up to 1,000 square feet, five from 1,000 to 5,000 square feet, and seven from areas over 5,000 square feet (40 CFR 763.86(a)). For miscellaneous or non-friable materials, at least two samples per homogeneous area are required, with accredited inspectors determining if more are needed (40 CFR 763.86(c)
